| First time the death of a superstar really hit me that hard. Michael Jackson was a legend. I feel like a part of me is gone. He broke the barrier for black people. If it wasn't for him, music would not be like it is today. I wasn't really really a fan of Michael Jackson at first when I was young but ever since I saw my friend perform and dance to the Michael Jackson songs, I began to realize that his songs are awesome. Props to Sophorn for his amazing dance videos. You can check them here at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MNL3Ad_31A http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxQCY2uu1fs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_9XOR1qU5M http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_9XOR.
Michael Jackson's songs will forever live on. Never will a Halloween ever be Halloween without playing the song, "Thriller"! His song "Beat It!" never caught onto me until I realized the meaning of the song. It tells people to just simply beat it and not join a gang in my opinion. He was the first black artist to get regular playing air time in the music industry. There are still lots of artists trying to imitate him like Chris Brown for example and Usher. Nobody comes close. Michael Jackson simply is the best. Music is immortal and his music will forever live on. RIP Michael Jackson. You will be missed.
